From LG to LS ELECTRIC: Industrial Transformation
LS ELECTRIC's historical roots extend through the GoldStar and LG Industrial Systems periods. The company separated from the LG Group in 2003 and subsequently continued under the LS identity.
GoldStar Co., Ltd. was founded in 1958 and became one of the predecessors of the organization that later continued as LG Electronics. In LS ELECTRIC's own corporate history, the starting point is the establishment of Goldstar Instrument & Electric Co., Ltd. in 1974.
The company was renamed Goldstar Industrial Systems Co., Ltd. in 1987 and LG Industrial Systems Co., Ltd. in 1995. During the same period, the LG corporate identity began to be used across the GoldStar / Lucky Goldstar organization.
LG Industrial Systems separated from the LG Group in 2003. The company adopted the LSIS / LS Industrial Systems name in 2005 and LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. in 2020. Despite this historical connection, LG and LS ELECTRIC are not the same company or group today.
